Thousands of highly skilled ex-pats apply each year to work in the United States on an H1B visa.<\/p>\n

The 2023 H1B program will allow U.S. companies and other employers to temporarily hire foreign workers for jobs that require highly specialized knowledge and theoretical, and practical application beyond a bachelor’s degree in a specific occupation or equivalent.<\/p>\n

H1B is reserved for \u201cspecial jobs\u201d within the organization. H1B visa holders can work in the United States while pursuing lawful permanent residency.<\/p>\n

The H1B Lottery Process – USCIS will randomly select registrants to submit a complete H1B visa application using the lottery system.<\/p>\n

USCIS approves approximately 65,000 petitions annually, and an additional 20,000 visas approved for advanced degree applicants. Some exceptions to the H1B visa limit include individuals entering the United States to work in higher education or related research \/ non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n

The 6,800 petitions are booked on H1B1 visas for citizens of Chile and Singapore, and the rest are booked on H1B visas.<\/p>\n
